30 years ago, In December of 1983, a few concerned library patrons formed the “Friends of the Grafton Public Library”, a support group to help the library through volunteer work and fundraising efforts.  They hosted their first function at the “Old Fashioned Christmas Night” on December 9th, 1983, serving punch and cookies, and inviting attendees to join the newly formed group.  The first official meeting of the “Friends of the Grafton Library” was held on January 23rd, 1984.  Officers were elected and the By-laws were adopted.
