Due to the COVID-19 health emergency, our events are postponed.
We are very excited to announce that our first Little Free Pantry is now a reality!! The Friends partnered with the Village of Grafton to bring the first Free Pantry to our community. Our motto is: “TAKE WHAT YOU NEED. GIVE WHAT YOU CAN.”
Food insecurity is a reality for many families today. Whether you have a need for food, or you have a desire to give, little pantries help neighbors feed neighbors in need. We hope to have a second pantry in the near future for personal items such as soap, detergent, etc.
You can visit the Pantry on Main Street to the right of the Library. If you wish to donate non-perishable items that are not out of date, you can drop off your items in the lobby of the Village Hall right across the street during regular business hours.
The Friends of the Grafton Midview Public Library is a 501C3, non-profit organization of area residents.
Our purpose is to promote interest in the Grafton Midview Public Library and to improve and expand their services to our community. Friends provide financial and volunteer help and actively participate in Library functions.
Enjoy your time here, exploring all that the Friends are currently working on, past projects, and ways you can help in the future!
The Friends meet on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Grafton-Midview Public Library.
Due to COVID-19 issues, in-person meeting have been suspended. Virtual meetings will be announced on this website and on Facebook as they are scheduled.
30 years ago, In December of 1983 a few concerned library patrons formed the “Friends of the Grafton Public Library”, a support group to help the library through volunteer work and fundraising efforts. They hosted their first function at the “Old Fashioned Christmas Night” December 9th 1983, serving punch and cookies, inviting attendees to join the newly formed group. The first official meeting of the “Friends of the Grafton Library” was held January 23rd, 1984. Officers were elected and the By-laws were adopted.
